At Stinkstake, our journey began with two cups of coffee and one shared frustration. Watching beautiful plants get destroyed by persistent outdoor pests.
Co-founders Lou Price and Don McGrath, dedicated gardeners from Colorado Springs, battled the same problem: deer stripping leaves, rabbit chewing flowers, and gophers tearing up their yards. Through their own trials, they both discovered that vinegar naturally repels these animals. The downside? Spraying it didn't last long.
During a casual conversation, Lou revealed a simple PVC-and-sponge tool he created that held the scent far longer than spraying. Don immediately recognize the ingenuity behind it.
Together, they refined the idea and transform it into a reliable, reusable garden protector.
That moment of shared frustration turned into innovation. And innovation became Stinkstake, an eco-friendly, scent-based solution that helps gardeners protect what they love without chemicals, traps, or harm.
